  1. I was contemplating using a JL audio 2 channel and the remote gain controller for the center channel. I was also contemplating using the JL 6 channel and getting rid of my Alpine monster. we'll see about that though. if I use the 2 channel JL amp it has the remote gain input so I'll just use that remote gain for the center channel. I was thinking about a JL 3.5 inch for my center. I figure I have all JL audio speakers I should keep the same/similar tonal qualities with the same brand. I"ve been on vacation too, so my postings have been a bit delayed too.

So where are you from? I can't remember from your earlier posts. Any chance you'll be at Carlile PA for the truck meet?

my apologies for the late reply, i've been out of town. the remote volume control (knob on the left in the picture) is a JL CL-RLC. its inline with my amp inputs. the other knob is called a JL RCB-1. and it is the remote bass boost for the JL slash series amp that is pushing my sub. the remote bass boost works great, but the CL-RLC only seems to work when my stereo is below about 70% volume. I think this is because i converted the factory subwoofer wires to RCA's and thats what is going to the CL-RLC and then to my amp. i think that the amplified speaker level signal going to the CL-RLC is over powering it at higher volumes. so at higher volumes the CL-RLC is like its not even there, but the remote bass boost lets me fine tune the bass when im jammin so it works out.

how are you thinking about controling your center channel??? let me know what your thinking about doing and i'll help brainstorm if you'd like.
