Well I have been waiting for a while to have someone finally make an air dam for our Tundras. The foam piece in front of the radiator fell off a couple of years ago and has been an eyesore every since. Should also help with providing additional air flow over the radiator.
Thanks to G-TEK and Greg for coming out with something! Fit and finish is very nice! I decided to go with semi-gloss black diamond plate as this matched my engine bay best since I have the SC installed.
Installation is very simple (15 minutes). There is a wiring harness that requires to be slightly relocated, which requires drilling new holes for the for the fasteners that the wiring location hangs from. Just make sure you don't drill into the wiring harness! There are four hangers and I relocated only three of the four. Once the wiring harness is relocated, just peel and stick. I left approximately an 1/8 inch gap between the air dam and the radiator to allow for any flexing of the radiator and/or air dam. Don't want the air dam contacting the radiator as that would not be good.
Below are pics of the installed air dam. Last pic is me pointing to one of the three wiring harness hangers that I relocated.
