Default My check engine light, vsc, and traction came on and idle jumped???

today as i was driving to get parts for my quad. I came to a red light then all of a sudden my idle jumps up and down then my check engine light comes on and vsc also the traction control. to top it off my idle stayed at 1000 rpm. so i put it in neutral turn the truck off and restarted it same deal so when the light turn green the truck had no power barely wanted to move luckily i let it coast off to the side of the street turn the truck off cycle the key a few times and went straight to the stealership (luckly they were 5 min away) that fixed the gas pedal maybe they will replaced it with a new one since i had nothn but issues with since they did the recall on it i'll keep u guys posted to see what they come up with. so has anyone else had this happen to them?

Your truck sounds like it went into limp mode which can be caused by a few things. I just recently heard the induction pump issue causes the truck to limp.

Good luck with it and let us know.

I had something similar and it ended up being the MAF/fuel pump crapped out. Those combination of lights could mean a lot of different things. Hope it is nothing too serious. Good luck!

Mine blew a valve and did that same thing. Took them several weeks to fix it because they did not have any parts made for that issue. Let me know if you end up needing the Toyota Customer Satisfaction phone number. They helped me out and got me a little something for the trouble of being without the truck for that period of time.

    The man with the number!

I think you should start a thread with Toyota contact information in the maintenance section!

I was planning on handing it out on a case by case basis and then requesting a "favor" for the tunra as payment!

Sounds like a misfire. Only time I have seen limp-mode or heard of it is in a misfire situation.

Well, that's nice that they didn't charge you. Glad it's fixed and running good as new.
