Ok guys and girls I need your help its time for me to put new brake pads in.

I read that its really easy to do on our trucks because the brake calipers don't have to be removed since the retaining clips are on the out side.Is this correct??? Refer to picture below

My main questions are how do i know if I need to resurface my rotors is there a specific purpose???

Are there any precautions because I heard about turning some bleeder valve open to protect the abs system.

I bought some EBC Green Brake pads and I want to do it myself but don't want to mess anything up. Maybe someone in California can have a mod a day with me??

If the surface on one side or the other feels grooved or uneven, have them done!

    Simple as that!

Caution: DO NOT TOUCH THE ROTOR SURFACE AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN DRIVING AROUND!
Let them cool or check them in the morning.

If you also had/have vibration when brakes are applied you need to resurface them.

Yes they are easy to do. I done my front brakes took me like 30minutes to do both sides. Heck it took longer to take the tire off then it took to change the brakes!!!

yes, super easy, but i resurfaced them even though they looked ok... i didnt want them to ruin my new pads...20min or so at the local O'Reilly for a piece of mind

the rotors should pull right off when you remove the calipers... i had to hit mines with a rubber mallet due to some rust/dirt
