    Exclamation Removing fog lights (07+)

I searched high and low on multiple sites trying to find out how the heck to remove the fog lights in my truck. No such luck, I guess. So, I decided to make this thread to help anyone who needs it.

First you take these four tabs out by prying them with a flat head screwdriver.

Then you go under and take these two screws out.
I think they are 10mm. After that the lower part of the wheel well should just pull right out.

Take the fog light bulb out, and then squeeze the circled button and push it through the hole.

Then on the right and left side there are tabs holding the housing in. You can take one out by hand, then the other out by prying it with a screwdriver. Be careful and put a free hand on the outside where the glass is because it will roll out. And this is what you should have when you pull it out.

And that's it. Hope this helps at least someone.

Not real sure if there is enough room in there or not. I wasn't really looking for that. But, I heard somewhere on one of these sites that someone did put a ballast in there so I would say yes.

    Good post!

I did mine a while back so i cant remember exactly what i did but it was pretty simple. I may have wedged my hands in there or took out the bottom two bolts and pulled the guard back a little bit... cant remember. But it was was easy twist out and remove old bulb, disconnect and reconnect new bulb and twist in...

Thanks for the info. Do you have the part numbers for the two types of clips? A couple of them broke so I need to replace them. Thanks again.

There is a good spot to mount it. Get some good 3m double sided tape and zip ties for wiring. I placed mine on top of aluminum bumper reinforcement behind bumper. As long as you use good tape it will not go anywhere. I also zip tied it.
