Default 2003 Tundra 4x4 Suspension Going All-In (Replace It All)

Hello, I have a 2003 Tundra 4x4 with 150K miles on it. I had the struts and shocks replace as well as the strut mounts replaced with Moog Strut Mounts. It was so rusted the coils turned to dust and the structs had to be cut out.

Recently I started to hear a noise from my left wheel and took it to a shop where they said the lower ball joint has run out of the grease. While it hasn't been a total failure I'm thinking about going all in a replacing the entire suspension (inner/outer rods, upper and lower ball joints and sway links) with this kit: moog-packagedeal169 | Front End Steering Rebuild Kit | 2003 Toyota Tundra and these sway links: moog-k90680 | Front Sway Bar End Link Replacement | 2001-2007 Sequoia I see the parts are way cheaper if I get them from 2003 Toyota Tundra Steering & Suspension Kit 10 Piece Set

I have an impact gun and I can get the tools to remove the upper ball joint: https://www.amazon.com/OrionMotorTec...=fsclp_pl_dp_3

I can get a pitchfork for the lower ball join but since I'm removing the control arm I could just hammer it out.

    So my questions are:

    1. Is Moog really worth the price compare to 1AAuto (some of their videos are pretty good).
    2. If I get the tools is this something I can do?
    3. Should I wait? I have the originally Tundra suspension and I heard that if the ball joint is about to go bad then the rest are close to the end of life.
    4. Would it be insane to replace the control arms? I heard I might have to cut them out.

    Thanks
    Eric

Updated 4/27/2020 : I found on RockAuto everything for $361.16 with tax and shipping using Moog I can upgrade to ProForged, Beck/Arnley, and MevoTech for a total of : $413.23

Hey Eric, If this was my truck I would just replace the ball joint. Why spend all that money if you don't have to? The ball joint failed because of a lack of lubrication so as long as the rest of the suspension is good I would leave it alone. Good luck!!

    Tonyspin,

Thanks for getting back. I saw the video on what I have to take apart to fix the ball joint and I was like might a well replace everything else since everything is from 2003. I see the upper and lower ball joints OEM is actually about the same price as aftermarket.

The tire rods and sway links are massively expensive compared to aftermarket.

    Thanks

i think it was a good idea to replace every thing because the problem would hva earisen again if you didn't. this solution will serve you on the long run but if you had replaced just the ball joint a problem would have developed later. How is it working now?
