    Default ABS sensor

Hi everyone, been a long time since I have posted anything, but I am having a problem. My ABS light & traction control lights are on,& my 4lo/4hi lights are flashing, it started about 3 weeks ago. I had the truck scanned and found my RR sensor was bad, I didn't have the money to buy OEM so I bought a cheap one off Amazon, a few other guys I talked to said they have also and never had any problems, well I changed it out and when I did I screwed up the plug on the wiring harness. I bought a new one from a Toyota dealer and replaced it, now when I start the truck the ABS & traction light is on but when I roll forward 20 yards it goes out and everything is fine, I roll anther 40-50 yards and they both come back on and the 4lo/4hi light start flashing like it did before, I just got back from having the truck scanned again and they said the RR ABS sensor is out ??????? Its brand new, think its because its not OEM? Im stumped
    TIA

Silly question, but Did you clear the initial codes?
Often times it can self check, clear, and return shortly after, it may also be that the sensor is bad out of the box. I've had an o2 sensor go bad 500 miles after a replacement. I've also heard shifty reviews out of Amazon, you may also try rockauto, or even Conicelli Toyota. Their prices are usually reasonable compared to California / Nevada / Arizona stealership prices, based on my experience.

I unhooked the neg battery terminal over night. Only way I have to clear it. Yeah, I have heard mixed reviews from Amazon, had a few guys say they have them and never had a problem, Thing a zero point calibration would help?

I'm not really sure, as far as I know lifted trucks do have similar issues and a zero point calibration usually help. Assuming your truck is lifted. Stock height may need to be researched further.

I just have a 3-1 leveling kit, but I am on my way out to do a zero point calibration to see if it helps.
