Default Secondary air injection pump question 2006 Tundra

Hello everyone. I am a new member here. I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra and when I start it, I hear a weird noise. After watching some videos online, I am absolutely sure it is the secondary air injection pump making the noise. After reading, it looks like maybe the best option is the bypass kit? Will I be okay to drive the truck until I get the bypass kit and install it? The truck is still running fine now, itís just that the pump makes noise while the truck warms up.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums!

I would definitely go with the bypass kit option. Nothing wrong with tricking the ecu. I’ve read lots of reviews regarding the bypass and I’ve yet to come across anything bad to be said about this option.
