2006 toy. taco. 4cyl. HELP needed...

per Toyota... need to replace air pump which gave a code... P2441 & also replace air pump valve due to pump failure..

any help for me on finding these outside of toyota parts.. we have 2.5 months to get this fix or the truck is off the road sadly due to lack of funds to repair & we are not sure that we can afford the payment increase of trading in right now...

i was quoted from my dealer...pump..$1288.00
... valve..$ 601.95

I am asking my fellow brothers & sisters for help cause of the stress level that has been in our lives.. hubby had to retire from army due to his health ( alot of ONCOLOGY ward visiting over the last 2 years ) my own health which is kind of stable currently but now dealing w/ severe anxiety & just told i have ptsd on top of it all.. i have to learn to let things go & ask for more help in situations & also as some of my older tundra brothers knew i care for hubbys disabled mom who is now progressivly getting worse w/ her disease.. life hasnt been easy on us by any means..

Hey JP.. hope all is well.. I could never ditch you guys perminatly...

we are weighing pros & cons of repairs w/ NO warrenties & or getting him into a base Corolla LE or a Camery for awesome gas mileage...
the past 2 years have been the worst for us for sure.. I always think of you guys here & know I can get help when I need it here.. I only have less then 2K miles on the tundra before my warrenty is gone.. A new tundra maybe coming soon also..

According to TIS, P2441 is an air switching valve failure, not a pump failure. It is possible you could try just the switching valve and everything may work out alright. If not, then you would have to replace the pump as well. Best of luck to you.

hey thanks for the input.. water somehow got in the system & failed both pieces they are both rusted up in & out..

well between yesterday & today we have come to a decision..... 2015 TOYOTA COROLLA LE in Slate Metalic W/ FREE MAINTANCE over the course of 3 years till the next vehicle comes along.. we like only having to buy gas only. hehe
