    Default Headlight help

Been searching the World Wide Web, for anything on headlights, to include these forums. I am looking for the most cost-efficient way of installing HID or LED headlights on my new 14 DC. I am tracking the headlight bulb type, but I keep finding kits from 40$ to 300$. I am curious what you guys are using and any recommendations based off of easy install / quality. Thanks ahead of time, looking forward to responses.
NOTE. I am looking at the 5000k to 6000k color range, not sure if this is the same for how LED's are marketed.

I've been using HIDs in mine since 2007 but after seeing LED H11 replacements I just had to check it out. I couldn't be happier!

2014 headlights use a different bulb than the 2007-2013 models, just so ya know.

I second the LED notion as well. HIDs are ok but produce a flood light pattern if installed in stock lights, which can be blinding to other drivers. LEDs are more controlled. Figure out what bulb your truck uses and get yourself some good quality LEDs like the ones in the thread Dez posted. You will not be disappointed!!!

I have been running $35 Chinese Cheepo HID's from DDMtuning.com since 2008. I have had them in four different vehicles and only had one set crap out on me. I bought two sets for my best friend as a Christmas gift in 2011 for his Duramax GMC and the first set lasted a month (bulb burned up), but the backup set has been in since. I still go with the cheepos, but when these finally fail, I will go with LEDs like Dez.

I bought a set of 5000 HIDs from SoCalMotoGear.com, the same company that makes the HIDs I installed in my Goldwing. $150. Other than somewhat unrelated issues created with the plow light wiring, I am extremely satisfied with them.

I am waiting until companies from SEMA would release their headlights with projectors at decent cost and then do the conversion to OEM older Prius HID's. By far the most superior and cheaper alternative I have done. And doesn't bother cops since its OEM (Toyota stamp keeps them quite) :-)
