I had Cooper discoverer, But they must be pretty hard and not very good in snow. I now have bf goodrich T/A KO And they are great in snow. Both had a hum on the hwy, but the bf goodrich less. Just my 2 cents.

I have the Toyo Open Country MT's with 30k miles, although worn a bit they seem to have another 10 to 15k left in them.

I'll give these tires 5 out 5 stars!

They remind me of BFG's, solid tire, no noise, dependable and long lasting.

Here's my Zeons.. I only have about 2k on them and they show absolutely no wear at all. I got the truck aligned right after i put the tires on so I'm hoping for a long run on these.

I agree with Dez, TOYO Open Country MTS are a 5 star tire, I had the BFG Mud Terrains on my old truck, and now own the TOYOs on my Tundra and I have to say I like these more. They are quieter and smoother on the road and handle better on slick roads, yes, my BFGs had problems with traction in the rain, but not a problem with the TOYOS. But remember just like any mud terrain tire they will lower your gas mileage due to the fact that they are heavier and the tread patter. Otherwise I recommend this tire, it works well in dirt snow mud and you don't have to sacrifice on road performance!

I will also recommend the Yokohama AT/S tie for anyone in the market for a good on and off road tire within a budget. These tire handled just as well off road as my BFG all terrains and held up better. The only down fall is that they are not a very aggressive looking tire. The tread wear was so good that I was actually able to sell the tires for only $50 cheaper than I paid after putting 20,000 miles on them!
