and find that some chick has taken out my neighbor's mailbox, and my mailbox with her Ford Econoline Van. Take note of my neighbor's mailbox "post". She had to be FLYING to have done this! 2 kids in the back seat. Neighbors say her driveshaft came out the back end, and she asked one of the neighbors if he could help her "fix" it.

She hit the neighbor's first

Please explain how the f*ck she did this!!!!! That cement post is like 3 ft long!

My mailbox, and her skid marks. I guess she landed on top of our mailbox.

I am waiting for pictures to be emailed to me from a neighbor that took them with her van sitting on my mailbox and driveway. Cops did a field sobriety test...she claims there was debris in road...(25mph by the way) and the cops said "There is NO sign of debris anywhere!"

did she pass the sobriety test? what an idiot... even if theres debris on the road. your in a neighborhood, shouldn't be going that fast to where it would drive you off the road. How many times have you guys slowed down quickly cause of an animal, or basketball running across the street..its not that hard.

Oh, one more thing....the distance from where the 3 ft cement post originated, and then landed, is about 20 ft. It put a big dent and crack in his driveway when it apparently bounced across it.

It keeps getting better...her insurance company is "Apollo".....my husband, who is in the bodyshop business and deals with insurance all day long, said it is a 3rd rate company, so we can kiss any type of claim goodbye. We are going to call them, but we aren't counting on any quick fix.

I know, same thing we were thinking. By the way, we are in a school zone, and the law in Illinois now states no cell phone usage in a school zone 24/7....doesn't matter what time of day! If you have hands free, you can use that.

I do understand that in the big scheme of things, this is not really a big deal. Nobody was hurt, so that is really great. There are lots of people in our area walking their dogs ALL THE TIME. We are 4 houses from the public library, so that's another reason we constantly have pedestrians in our area. When it's all said and done, it's going to cost us a little to replace our mailbox and post, but there are far worse things that could have happened. We're just extremely grateful nobody was injured, and there's no major damage.
